I came upon this, on the anytime fitness website. It explains a LOT as to why I may have gained weight / or have experienced the weight loss slowly.. and goes into detail why.

You were right on the money !
The fact that JUST counting carbs worked for me in the past. Granted I DO exercise a LOT. I always thought that exercising would burn the calories and they would equal themselves out. I'm not sure any longer.
Last month, I lost 6 pounds. Not bad
