A High Protein, Low Carb Shepherd’s Pie that is so simple, even your future‑skinny self could make it half‑asleep.
Ingredients (aka: The Cast of Characters)
• 1 lb lean ground meat
• Fresh potatoes
• Mrs. Dash (the queen of salt‑free sass)
• Cheese
• Fresh carrots
Jean’s Method (trust the process)
• Brown the ground meat and toss in your smashed carrots so they can soften and mingle.
• Make your fresh mashed potatoes — as much or as little as your soul dictates.
• Now we LAYER, because we are dramatic and we like structure:
• Ground beef
• Mashed potatoes
• Shredded cheese
• Breadcrumbs (optional, but they make you feel fancy)
Slide that masterpiece into the oven at 300°, low and slow, until everything is heated through and cozy.
