About Me

🌾 Welcome to My Low‑Carb Life As of January 2026, I’ve started a new chapter: I recently began the GLP‑1 Wegovy pill to help me get back on track with my weight‑loss goals. Life has thrown its share of challenges my way, and I’ve gained back some of the weight I once worked so hard to lose — so this is my reset moment. My journey began in 2008, when my doctor warned me about rising blood pressure and challenged me to lose ten pounds in three months. I ended up losing 26. By 2011, life had shifted again, and I recommitted to the low‑carb lifestyle that helped me feel strong and steady. And today, I’m still committed — just with new tools, new wisdom, and a whole lot more grace for myself. I live just outside New Orleans, deep in sweet Cajun Country, where we hunt, fish, “make groceries,” and enjoy the simple things. I exercise three times a week and practice relaxing on the off days. My immediate goal is to lose 15 pounds, and I’m focused on moving forward with intention and consistency. So pull up a chair and stay a spell — this blog follows my low‑carb journey, my Southern roots, and now, my Wegovy pill adventure.

WEGOVY GLP1 PILL DAY 3 RESTING THE FLESH ! & A LITTLE BREAKTHROUGH MAGIC

 WEGOVY GLP‑1 PILL — DAY 3

RESTING THE FLESH & A LITTLE BREAKTHROUGH MAGIC

Day 3 has arrived, and dare I say it… BREAKTHROUGH.

Your girl is officially less hungry. The GLP‑1 gods have tapped me on the shoulder and whispered, “Relax, we’ve got this.”

And speaking of relaxing — today is a Resting the Flesh™ day.

No workouts. No guilt. Just a full‑body intermission so I can regroup, recuperate, and reemerge like the dramatic phoenix I am.

🍽️ Culinary Adventures: High‑Protein, Low‑Carb Shepherd’s Pie

Because if I’m not moving my body, I’m at least moving a spoon.

Today’s creation:

A High Protein, Low Carb Shepherd’s Pie that is so simple, even your future‑skinny self could make it half‑asleep.

Ingredients (aka: The Cast of Characters)

1 lb lean ground meat

Fresh potatoes

Mrs. Dash (the queen of salt‑free sass)

Cheese

Fresh carrots

Jean’s Method (trust the process)

Brown the ground meat and toss in your smashed carrots so they can soften and mingle.

Make your fresh mashed potatoes — as much or as little as your soul dictates.

Now we LAYER, because we are dramatic and we like structure:

Ground beef

Mashed potatoes

Shredded cheese

Breadcrumbs (optional, but they make you feel fancy)

Slide that masterpiece into the oven at 300°, low and slow, until everything is heated through and cozy.

🍿 Snack of the Day

Popcorn.

Because sometimes you just need something light, crunchy, and judgment‑free.
